The sturgeon chub (''Macrhybopsis gelida'') is a species of ray-finned minnow fish in the Cyprinidae family. It is found only in the United States. It is a species of concern in the Charles M. Chicago: University of Illinois Press, 2002, p. 78.〕 Girard named it ''Gobio gelidus'', but it was reclassified as ''Hybopsis gelidus'' in 1900 and ''Macrhybopsis gelidus'' in 1935.〔 A new classification of ''Hybopsis gelida'' was suggested in 1965.〔
